Lindsey Gray serves as regional executive director of CSG South, where she leads the organization’s work supporting Southern state legislators and staff through nonpartisan policy research, leadership development, and regional collaboration. With more than 22 years of experience in state and local government operations, Gray has developed cross-sector partnerships, guided complex policy initiatives, and facilitated conversations that strengthen public service. She founded the first electric pedal-assist bikeshare system in the Western Hemisphere and the first woman-owned micro mobility consulting firm in the U.S., demonstrating her ability to innovate and implement practical solutions at both the local and state levels.
As host of REAL | STATE, Gray draws on her extensive professional network and regional perspective to lead thoughtful, accessible discussions on governance, policy, and long-term impact. Since joining CSG South in 2021, she has expanded the organization’s services, grown its staff, diversified funding streams, and strengthened relationships across the 15 Southern member states. A Birmingham, Alabama native and double Trojan with a bachelor’s in communications and a master’s in public administration, Gray combines deep operational knowledge with strategic insight, making her a trusted voice on the issues shaping Southern state government today.
