Coastlines to Heartland webinar image

Natural disasters can disrupt manufacturing, damage critical infrastructure, and interrupt the movement of goods across regional and national supply chains. This webinar examined how states are approaching infrastructure resilience to reduce economic disruptions and support continuity before, during, and after disasters.

South Carolina Chief Resilience Officer Ben Duncan and Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management Executive Director Annie Vest shared how their states are approaching resilience planning based on different geographic and hazard profiles. Participants explored state resilience initiatives, emergency management planning, interagency coordination, and approaches to identifying vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure systems, as well as considerations that can inform planning across the Southern region.
