Southern Pulse Newsletter, February 2022

CSG South has been on the move this month, with state visits fully underway. As of this February newsletter, we have under our belts four fantastic state capital visits: West Virginia, Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee. One humbling highlight of our trips was the honor to be recognized in the Virginia House of Delegates, with the team receiving a round of applause. For those Senators,  Representatives, and Delegates who took the time out of their incredibly busy schedules to speak with our team members, we sincerely thank you and hope you continue to leverage the resources CSG South provides. This week, our team heads to the great state of Kentucky, after which we head to Arkansas and Alabama to close out the month.

Meanwhile, our staff back in the Atlanta office have been hard at work knocking out the final details before the launch of the new CSG South website. Members will notice that the changes have allowed us to align with other CSG regions graphically and visually. However, while we are leading with the CSG South brand to accomplish those goals, we will not be losing our regional focus, voice, and most importantly member-driven decision-making power. CSG South will firmly maintain and strengthen all the critical elements that make us regional – and Southern – leaders.

Though planning for the 76th Annual Meeting is in full swing, we want to give a big CSG South welcome to next year’s Chair and current Chair-Elect, South Carolina Senate President Thomas C. Alexander.  We look forward to working with you as we look ahead to the Southern Legislative Conference in Charleston in 2023. Welcome President Alexander!
