Southern Pulse Newsletter, May 2022

With only one state visit left to go, four full months of nonstop travel for our team is nearly behind us. North Carolina, we can’t wait to see you next month!

We are proud to host the largest regional conference of legislative leaders in the nation and we know Oklahoma City is ready for our 76th Annual Meeting!  Our small but mighty team has laid out for you robust and engaging policy sessions, ranging from an analysis of global energy consumption trends, teacher shortages, mental illness in our communities, and innovations in farming across the region – and that’s only the beginning. As we finalize speakers, check back on our website for a full schedule of our government staff tracks, evening activities, and site visit locations. The deadline for early-bird registration is next week, May 26.  Click here so you don’t miss it!

As critical as these conversations are to have, it’s not only policy that happens at SLC! Our partners in Oklahoma have woven together one of the most exciting Guest and Youth programs to date! Packed into four days, there are two thrilling (and often, educational) tracks for your families and other non-legislative guests. For youth ages 6-17, we will have trips to the Science Museum, RIVERSPORT (the official US Paralympic Training site), the OKC Zoo, and the OKC Dodgers baseball stadium! For guests aged 18+, options will include the History of Oklahoma Tour, Historic Stockyards City, Nostalgic OKC track, and much more – including a reflective and timely visit and lunch with Oklahoma City Bombing survivors.

From our CSG South family to yours, we thank you for your public service, and can’t wait to see you at the Southern Legislative Conference!

Warmest Regards,
Lindsey
