CHIEFS 15X Leadership Retreat is designed exclusively for state government chiefs of staff in the 15 Southern states, offering a forum for strategic discussions, peer-to-peer collaboration and professional growth.
The annual retreat provides insights, networking opportunities, and practical tools to assist chiefs of staff in excelling in their roles. Participants engage with colleagues, gain new perspectives, and work together on solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in state government.

2025 Retreat

CSG South hosted the inaugural CHIEFS 15X Leadership Retreat in Hilton Head, South Carolina, bringing together state government chiefs of staff from across the Southern region. The retreat provided a forum for strategic discussions, peer-to-peer collaboration and professional growth. Sessions covered topics such as staff delegation, crisis communication and ethical leadership, equipping attendees with practical tools to strengthen their service. The program also fostered a collaborative environment for colleagues to exchange perspectives and develop solutions to pressing challenges in state government.
